This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how Navyug — JNV Andaman Alumni Association ("Navyug", "we", "us") handles refunds for payments made on our website and mobile application. By making a payment to Navyug you agree to the terms below. All payments are processed through Razorpay, and refunds (where permitted) are issued through the same channel.
1. Membership fees
- Annual or lifetime membership fees grant continuous access to alumni services such as the community forum, events, and the messaging platform.
- Once the membership is activated, the fee is non-refundable.
- If a duplicate payment is captured due to a technical or network error, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction with proof of both debits. The duplicate amount will be refunded after verification.
2. Donations to the corpus fund
- Donations to the Navyug corpus or general fund are voluntary and non-refundable once successfully captured.
- If you have made a donation in error (wrong amount or duplicate transaction), write to us at navyug.andaman@gmail.com within 7 days. We will review and, where the error is verifiable, issue a refund of the disputed amount.
3. Fundraiser contributions
- Contributions to a specific fundraiser (for example, a medical emergency campaign) are released to the beneficiary and are not refundable once the campaign has received the contribution.
- If a fundraiser is cancelled by Navyug before the funds are disbursed to the beneficiary, the amounts collected will be refunded to the original donors within 7–10 business days, or, with donor consent, redirected to the corpus fund.
- If a fraudulent fundraiser is identified after disbursement, Navyug will pursue the beneficiary for recovery but cannot guarantee a refund.
4. Event registration fees
- Refunds for event tickets, if any, are governed by the specific cancellation rules stated on the event page at the time of registration.
- If an event is cancelled by Navyug, registration fees will be fully refunded within 7–10 business days, unless the registrant opts to convert it into a donation.
- If the registrant cancels, refund eligibility is determined by the event's stated cut-off date.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund under any of the above categories, send us an email containing:
- Your full name and the registered email address on your account.
- The Razorpay payment ID (begins with
pay_) shown on your receipt. - The reason for the refund (duplicate payment, wrong amount, event cancelled, etc.).
- Screenshots or bank statements supporting the claim, if available.
Send the request to navyug.andaman@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request — <payment ID>".
6. Processing timeline
- Approved refunds are initiated to Razorpay within 5 business days of approval.
- Razorpay typically credits the amount back to the original payment instrument within 5–7 additional business days. The total turnaround is therefore up to 10–14 business days.
- For UPI/credit/debit card refunds, the credit appears against the original transaction in your bank or card statement.
7. Chargebacks
Before raising a chargeback with your bank or card network, please write to us so we can resolve the matter directly. Unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension and permanent restriction from future donations or memberships.
